HP £100 Cashback : how it works :-
- The HP Laptop cashback promotion is valid on new purchases made during the promotional period - 1st May 2012 to 31st July 2012.
- The promotion is open to residents of the mainland UK including Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. This offer is not open to employees of Hewlett Packard (HP), their agents, wholesalers, resellers, retail staff, retailers, participating stockists or anyone connected with the promotion.
- Claims must be submitted by the end user customer only. Resellers may not submit claims on behalf of their customers.
- There is a maximum of 15 units per customer during the promotional period. This offer may not be combined with HP special bid pricing.
- To take advantage of the promotion the customer will need to complete an online claim form after purchasing from SystemActive. The participant must provide an invoice number & serial number as proof of purchase.
- A full and valid claim must be submitted no sooner than 30 days and no later than 60 days from the date of invoice. If claims are submitted before or after this claim window they will be deemed invalid.
- The promotion is valid in respect of qualifying products purchased from SystemActive within the promotion dates.
- The promotion is only valid for end user customers; claims for products purchased which will be resold or rented to a third party are ineligible for this promotion.
- Once the claim has been received, the participant will receive confirmation of receipt of the claim form by email stating whether or not the claim for cash back has been successful. It is the claimant's responsibility to contact the agent using the email address within 7 days of their claim being sent if an email acknowledgement has not been received.
- Cashbacks are paid out based on the price paid excluding VAT.
- If a claim is refused, because the terms of the offer have not been met, the promoter's decision is final. HP reserves the right to withdraw the promotion without notice.

- Complete the online claim form and upload a copy of the sales invoice for your new HP purchase.
- Send your old machine within 30 days of the invoice date with a copy of your claim form to Trade Up To HP Business.Any existing data will be wiped and unused parts will be recycled. Note we cannot recover any data once we've received your computer.
- Provided everything matches your description we'll send you your cash via bank transfer. We will even give you £10 towards your postage!

For your computer to qualify as "working" it must be fully operational:
- Power on and have a working processor
- All accessories eg battery, mains adapter and lead, must be fully operational
- Must be undamaged (reasonable wear and tear accepted)
- Only laptops can be accepted as trade-in for this promotion

To Qualify for the promotion you must send the following
- A completed claim form (please do not send the original as your proof of purchase will not be posted back to you)
- A copy of your SystemActive purchase invoice showing the purchase of your product and dated within the promotional period
- Applications will be screened for validity to ensure that the transaction made is a bona fide purchase of the qualifying product
- The computer you wish to trade in must be no more than 6 years old to qualify for the promotion
- The computer you wish to trade in, along with the original accessories, including mains adapter and lead, battery, must be from one of the qualifying manufacturers listed below
- Acer, Advent, Apple, Asus, Benq, Compaq, Dell, Ei systems, eMachines, Fujitsu, Gateway, HP, IBM, Lenovo

- If any of the items required to make your computer fully operational are missing upon receipt at the recycling facility you will receive a revised valuation by email and have 14 days to accept or decline the proposed trade in payment. If no reply is received the revaluation will be accepted and processed for payment
- Deletion of all confidential data and information, which are in each case subject to applicable data protection legislation, and are possibly stored on the PC to be traded, is the responsibility of the customer. Prior to sending the trade in computer, it is the customer's responsibility to delete data from the hard drive and any other storage media in the product and remove any removable storage media, for example; floppy disks, CDs or PC cards. The promoter accepts no responsibility for lost or confidential data and software. Upon receipt of the computer to be traded in all data will be destroyed. Please note we are unable to retrieve any customer data once a computer has been received
- If the trade in is not as described a fair revised valuation will be proposed, but if this is not acceptable there will be a cost for returning the trade in of £8, payable before its return.

Valuations may be subject to the following deductions for damage :
- Battery worn out / failed minus £30
- Cracked / damaged casing minus £30
- Dead motherboard minus £50
- Missing 1 or more keys from keyboard minus £15
- Missing power supply minus £20
- Permanent marking eg etched / asset tag minus £20
- Power on password locked minus £30
- HP is not responsible or liable for any technical, hardware, software, server, website, or other failures or damage of any kind to the extent that this prevents the participant from or otherwise obstructs him/her in participating in the promotion and are unable to accept hand delivery.
